The National Reserve Club used to meet in a club on Harborough Hills Road. This memorial has now been moved to the Cooper Memorial Garden next to St Mary's Church on Church Street, Barnsley.

Inscription:
Erected in Memory of those Who Fell and as an Appreciation of those who took part in the Great War and Returned 1914-1918. Also 1939-1945. Lest We Forget.
Let those who come after see to it that their names be not forgotten.
