In loving memory of / George POTTS of Ardsley / who died Aug. 19th 1890 / aged 37 years / also his son George Greensmith / who died Oct. 30th 1886 / aged 2 years / Also his wife Emily POTTS / who died Jan. 9th 1929 / aged 73 years / Now the labourers task is o'er / also Richard Vere POTTS / son of the above / killed in action Mesopotamia / 16th Jany 1917 aged 28 years.
Richard is also remembered on the Ardsley, Christ Church, Christ Church Parishioners - WW1 Plaque
He is remembered on the Basra Memorial in Iraq and commemorated on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission website.
